Can't download MPEG-4 files

I took some video with my Blackberry Playbook. I down loaded them to my PC. When I try to download the video into Edit Pro 17 I get a message that the program can't download the MPEG 4 file. It asks about if the file is read only. I checked the properties of the files and they don't appear to any problems.  I am floundering trying to take several videos I shot on vacation and combine them into one movie.

I used a trial of DIVX converter to see if it could manipulate the files and it did so without any problems.  I tried to download one of those converted files and ran into the same problem.

Hi rexbd, if you're running the bog standard version of 17, then the way I read it, you need to get the MPEG 4 feature activated, which does cost you a little. If you didn't get the message saying you need to activate, then you've already activated it/ or it won't really be MPEG4?? What exact error message are you getting?

Try running the program as administrator, and make sure that the path/directory set isn't write-protected. Cheers, M o' L.

error says Cannot be read.  Make sure drive is not full or write protected.

Neither is the case.  Now everytime I check the Properties of the folder I have the videos in it is listed at Read Only. I keep trying to change that setting but even after I "apply" the change to the folder, next time I check the folder it is back to "Read Only".  The files are not listed as Read Only.

How about taking a file out of the folder and saving it to your desktop, then trying to import once more?
