Can't get my nanoPAD to work?

Hey all I am having problems getting my nanoPAD to work on music maker mx premium 18.0. I have all the drivers from KORG it's recognised in my computer (using xp so in the control panel's sounds and audio devices where it says it is working properly). Music Maker itself has recognised the hardware my settings screen reads thus:

output device "Microsoft GS wavetable SW synth"

input device NanoPAD 1 PAD

use target MIDI channel (greyed out 1 selected)

synthesizer latency 149 ms

selected option to integrate MIDI keyboard into live performer

That's for the MIDI part can give any other settings if required.

I'm getting no sound from pressing the pads on the nanoPAD but rather perverseley when I select output device nanoPAD 1 crtl instead of Microsoft GS wavetable SW synth I can play notes using my computer keyboard!! 0_0

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi

You need to set up a synthesiser in MMM to use the keyboard.

Read the section on midi objects (page 98 onwards)  in the pdf manual which is installed with the software - click the Start button and then select Programs, Magix, Music Maker MX, Documentation.

Also read this tutorial to minimse latency delays

http://www.magix.info/uk/online-training/1003-music/search/latency/

Any problems come back again.

John

Hey John Thanks for taking the time to reply. I looked up the documentation and checked everything off and even downloaded the latest asio driver but still no joy. just no sound whatsoever. Do you think it's a case of mine being an "older device" and I need to contact customer support?

Hi

Is there anything in the NanoPad documentation/software about assigning the pads to mimic a keyboard?

Failing that try contacting Korg first.

John
