@devil

. . . . VPro6 Win 10 Short video and after the first stage of uploading to YouTube, meaningless error message. . . .

We need more information:

Are you trying to upload from within the program ?

If so when was the last time you uploaded a video to Youtube successfully?

Or

Are you trying to upload using the uploader on the YT website?

and . . . . meaningless error message . . . .

What was the message?

We also need to know what video file format and resolution were you trying to upload.

Thank you for your reply. Small background info: Several years ago, I used VP X6 quite well, including YT from within the proggy, but I've already forgotten more about it than I ever learnt. I recently needed to make a ~3 min video on YT and I thought it would be a doddle. I edited it successfully on VP X6 without a problem from S-VHS originals (via Canopus ADVC-700 into DV format), 720 x 576 pixel, 25 fps, 4:3 ratio, bottom field first, 4 added titles, no added sound.

What I did:
1. File/Online/YouTube-Vimeo/Upload current movie as video...
2. Upload/YouTube/[Title/Description/Keywords/Category/Private/Internet quality SD/Standard (2D)] OK
3. Mixing Down proceeds
4. ~10 seconds after it finishes: "An error occurred when uploading. Please try again later" (helpful, not!)

No problem saving in AVI or MPG formats.

I have a vague recollection that I may have had this problem in the past but I don't recall how I overcame it.

Thanks,

Brian

@devil

Hi Brian

I would suggest you use the Youtube uploader after exporting the video as MPG, Standard DVD rather than the Internet quality SD.
