Can't see all of my files in the Media Pool

I've been a longtime user of Vegas/Magix Movie Studio and just recently upgraded to the 2022 version of the software. One problem I've been having lately is that when navigating the Import Tab/Media Pool, I can't see/access certain files, namely anything made later than 2019. While I was at first ready to chalk this up to the files being saved onto an external hard-drive, or the possibility of the files in question being too big/incompatible with the software, I found that I can in fact use those same files in MMS by dragging and dropping them directly into the timeline from my File Explorer. While this is reassuring in that there is nothing wrong with the files in question, the process of importing is definitely clunkier than how my last version of MMS allowed me to import/use media from my computer.

So I guess my question is this: Is there a way to "update" or change the settings of my Media Pool or Import Tab to include/make visible ALL of the compatible files in a given folder so that I don't have to drag and drop the things that aren't showing up in the Import Tab? I've been flipping through the manual and forums, but I haven't found a solution for my specific problem yet. Much obliged!

@keitheaverage

Hi,

All supported files should show up in the Media Pool, Import.

Can you show us a screen shot of the Import tab opened to a folder that should have files showing and a screen shot of the same folder showing these files in Windows Explorer? Make sure that the full paths are shown at the top.

I should add that the Import tab is just a special copy of Windows Explorer, so be careful not to go deleting files or folders there.

Strangely, a user was having the inverse problem with Video Pro X. Since resolved.
