when I am trying to do a screen record it wont work and says cannot connect to selected device, resolution or frame rate is not supported on this device. what do i need to do?

this thread is so confusing. every time I post something it gets deleted. I was told my original thread was being deleted because i did not include my product and operating system. Is this one deleted or is it available for answers? I am desperate to find out why it will not work..
In addition to @PATIENT-X comment, what settings are you using to record the screen?
Please include screenshots of the recording dialog, including the recording quality configuration screen, and in Windows the Sounds, Sound Control Panel, Recording tab.
wow, that seems to have worked. my camera setting were allowing access but my microphone was not. I changed it to allow and now the program is working properly. I cant thank you guys enough.
