Anirban Ray,

A couple of things came to mind. George has hit the first one -- that you have got yourself into one of the mouse modes designed for working with groups of objects or tracks. As he points out, you should use 'Mouse mode for single objects'. Note that a real group is treated as a single object.

The second one relates to how grouping works. It's a bit like nested parentheses in that if you happen to hit group two or three times then objects won't be un-grouped until you un-group an equal number of times. If you have been successful at un-grouping you should be able to select individual items.

Regards,

Carl

Dear George,
The diagram helped me. Thanks a lot.
It was simple until I knew it.

Dear CPC,
Appreciate your long explanation and am really enriched.
Now I know what my mistakes were.

Dear John and Procyon,
Thanks for visiting my question and at least trying out (or even commenting).
That itself motivates.

Thanks all MAGIX experts and friends.
