When using a DV camera in pass-through to capture the cameras analog inputs, when you start the recording in Movie Edit Pro (MEP) it puts the camera in Pause even with "Start the DV Device automatically" un-checked.

Using pass-through means the camera tape transport is not actually doing anything, so no "pause" needs to be sent.

The problem is the "pause" on the camera times out 5 minutes into the recording, because the camera is not doing any playback, it is just digitizing the analog video and passing it along the Firewire. On the timeout, the camera sends a message back to MEP over the Firewire cable and causes MEP to stop recording. The digitized video continues to flow and displayed by MEP, just MEP has stopped recording.
