Capturing and Editing gameplay footage at 60 FPS

I'm in the midst of trying to create my own videos for youtube and any other video website of the like. While I've been figuring out how to record and capture my gameplay, the one issue that still bugs me is trying to capture or edit my gameplay to run at 60fps.

Its like this, I play a game on my PS4 and it runs smoothly at 60fps, but everytime I record a video of it either on the system itself or through the use of Twitch, it always comes out as 30fps. I tried to find ways of how to change it to 60fps through my 2016 version of Magix Movie Edit Pro, but it still comes out as messed up and not running properly. If anyone knows how that can be done it would be much appreciated! At this rate is getting the video to run at 60fps is my only obstacle to make my own videos!

Hi,

You must use a screen recording software like Smartpixel or something similar, search on the Web for others suitable software. You can record any size up to 1920 x 1080 but you need to record in 60 fps to capture full motion. After you can save and edit with MEP and export in 60fps. YouTube and a Web search can give to you more info.

So Smartpixel is what you'd use to convert videos for youtube? and how would I start recording at 60fps when a game already moves at 60fps?

Hi

No, Smartpixel is what is suggested to be used to record your game play at 60fps. The resulting file should then be imported to MEP for editing and ultimate export.

Hi,

understand, you record the screen action using a software (screencast is the action to record the screen) but the main condition you must record in 60 f/s. After recording you can edit using any video edit software Magix is one among a list. After edition you must export to afile and upload to YouTube.

Ok, so then say I use a elgato HD60 capture card to record the gameplay I need to transport videos over to my computer. I can then edit it in whatever way I want on my Movie Edit Pro and it won't change the 60fps correct?

You understand capture 60fps, edit and export in 60fps.
