Change existing Movie Settings on Project

Seeking instructions on how to change my projects current Movie Settings from a frame rate of 29.97 to 59.94. When I go to export the video to an Mpeg 4 and select HDTV 1920x1080 H264 59,94 FPS, I get a notification that my framerate is lower than the frame rate configured to export. I've continued and rendered the video, but some areas in sound do not sync where they should. I believe I either ignored or made a bad choice upon my initial selection for the movie settings, and already have a week invested in the 1 hour video. Any suggestions for a first timer? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

@SMcKechnie

Hi and welcome to the forum.

. . . . how to change my projects current Movie Settings from a frame rate of 29.97 to 59.94 . . . .

Is the source video frame rate 59.94 fps?

If so, did you get a warning from Movie Edit Pro (MEP) that the imported video does not match the current project settings?

If the source video is 29.97 fps, increasing the frame rate can be done, however there will be no significant improvement in playback just increasing the frame rate.

Smoother playback of the exported video can be achieved by turning on Interpolate intermediate images for each video clip on the timeline, right click each video object to open the popup menu and select Properties, Video and check the Interpolate intermediate images option - you have to do this for every clip that is not 59.94 fps.

There is a down side to using this option - the resulting video may appear softer.

To change the project settings, press the E key and change the framerate to 59.94 - check there is not a standard preset option that you can use.

. . . . but some areas in sound do not sync where they should. . . .

Which video format is the source video?

HTH
