Choppy Preview Playback

I have a Lenovo Y500 Ideapad with i7 processor and dual Nvidia 650m SLI GPUs. I have the recommended amount of RAM as well, but cannot get my playback to be less choppy. I am unable to lower the playback quality any further. Is there a way to resolve this issue? Even though I allow the videos to preload, they are still choppy and laggy when they play, of course this is only for the video not the audio. It only happens after I put on effects as well, no matter how small they are.

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

First, please read this post and supply us with all the information requested there.

Second, please tell us a great deal more about the actual format of the video files you are attempting to play. The free MediaInfo utility, when installed and pointed to one of your files, will supply detailed information which you can post here.

Third, you say, I am unable to lower the playback quality any further. What, exactly, have you done to lower the playback quality?

With this level of detail we may be able to offer advice to you.
