Movie Edit Pro Plus (steam)
Hy,
I make a scene with croma key. The basic scene is a movie. There's a TV in it. I change the "Breaking news" scene to my scene.
Everything all right in the program:

But after the export the chroma key disappears:
http://www.kepfeltoltes.eu/view.php?filename=1472.png
(The exported movie on the Media Player Classic (i tired nother players too))
I dont know how can i solve the problem what's not exists, because in the program, everything cool...

Under system settings (key y, last tab), there are separate options to use hardware acceleration for preview and export. Are they set identical? I noticed that certain effects only work well with hw acceleration either on or off. You can also try flipping the "use hw on transitions" option. (Same dialog, different tab). Restart the program when switching the options.

Hi

From your timeline image and assuming items 1, 2 and 3 are the components of the effect required in the image below

  1. Which item of 1 and 3 is the tv screen image and which the background?

  2. Item 2, I assume has a chroma key effect applied, however which one white or Alpha ?

  3. If Alpha which way does the 'direction' arrow point when you hover the mouse over the object?

  4. What is the purpose of item 4 ?

They are identical. I tired to play with these options, but same problem. First time, when i made a test export, it was ok. Now, when i'm done and i want to export it... wrong! I dont know happened with that.

roland-ricza wrote on 9/22/2017, 1:34 PM

John,
The first is the movie. With the tv.
The second is the chroma key, yes. With alpha and the arrow pointing down.
3th is my video what i want to put it on the tv.
The last one (4th) is just a small, black picture on the corner. That cover a logo of the tv channel... Nothing.

I have no idea... Already i made same thing in another video without problem and here, the first test export was also great. Now, in the program everything is ok, nice but after the export it looks just a small size video on a bigger video!

Hi

Thanks for the clarification of the items on the timeline, that is what I suspected.

I should also have asked what is the version number of MEP as found under Help, About . . .

Yes, There is a bug in MEP 2018 that sounds like your problem, noted in the French forum:- https://www.magix.info/uk/forum/remettre-l-arrire-plan-transparent--1195770/

There is a workaround suggested by Sergio24.

version number is 16.0.3.66 (UDST)

Yes, maybe it's a bug... An irritating bug. 😒

Hi

. . . . version number is 16.0.3.66 (UDST) . . . .

This is the 2017 version of MEP and you are missing at least 3, if not more, patches the last being 16.0.4.119.

Updating the program now should update you to the newest version 17.0.1.130, which as Peter has pointed out also appears to have the same issue.

Note - if you do update to the latest version it will uninstall your current version, and the interface has had some major changes, mainly to the Effects, Titles and Fade tabs.

Hi

Good advice there John.

The OP in the other forum has received advice from Magix support (albeit a work around) where they suggest setting the "Playback in the arranger > Compatibility Mode" on the Display tab in Program settings. I am not sure this will help the exported project though.

Hy everybody!
I solved it! Yes, the problem is a bug, i think. When i delete 2 effects (Video Effects / Brightness/Contrast and Color (Saturation)) the problem disappeared and the export was ok.
On the "Color correction" menu, you can change the saturation! It works well.
Blur, sand, mosaic also works!
Thanks for the help!!!

@roland-ricza: Did you also report this bug to support? I appreciate how everyone on this forum tries hard to find work-arounds for the various issues found, but I would still like to believe that if everyone who encounters a real bug would report it to support, it might get fixed one day. If not only to reduce the number of support calls about a particular issue.

johnebaker wrote on 9/26/2017, 2:28 PM

Hi

@roland-ricza

I have been trying to replicate this to see if it is a bug and cannot get the chromakey to disappear on export.

What settings were you using for Brightness/Contrast and Color correction-saturation and which object(s) were they applied to (please refer to the image I previously posted).

Thanks
