Clicks in Exported Music Maker MX Song?

JB622 wrote on 11/24/2012, 5:33 AM

Hey there,

This is not a mega problem, it's just a little annoying. Basically sometimes when I've exported a song as MP3 and I play it back I get a strange Click noise. It doesn't seem to go away when I try exporting again and it's always the same place. There is nothing wrong with the sound file/ Synth but still it happens.
If I move all the objects alone the time line and past where the click noise plays it is fine, but this then means I have to import it back into MMMX and cut the long pause at the beginning out, followed by exporting it once more.

It's really strange and like I said it's not a massive problem as I have away around it, but if someone knew an answer then that would be very helpful.

This problem is not on all tracks that I export, in fact it's a rare happening.
After restarting my PC and exporting the click is still there.
It sounds like a short electronic fart might? If that makes sense?

Thanks!

You got few options to check:

1. Do you get this strange sound in all exported files?

2. What if you export the same project in wav format, do you still get that sound?

3. Try to check your ASIO driver and if there is any possibility to increase buffering then do that and see.

4. Please confirm all connections to computer are proper(mic, external hard drive, speaker, electric cords etc)

5. Try to zoom the particular object giving you click sound and mute other instruments and listen.

In my experience when ever due to unknown reason if my ASIO Driver buffer settings get change I get this kind of noise. When I increase that it disappear. Also some times some Soundpool objects are noisy too.

Hi Again Nihon94,

It's not the sound file because when i export that same arrangement 90 bars down so the start is silent the click is still there.
My ASIO driver box is not ticked, instead the Wave (or WAV?) One is.
And all the connections are connected properly.

I have exported as .wav and so far there is no clicks but I did just hear a sound which was like a chicken cluck for 1/4 of a second. I'm wondering if it is because it crashed when i was doing the arrangement originally?

I could be wrong but in my experience crash thing will not affect recording unless something internal inside computer did that.

Is it possible for you to change the ASIO Driver to any other available in the drop down menu and check? (later you can set back to original settings).

Did you also ask the Magix customer support about this problem?

No, I have no options in my drop down menu I don't think. If I do then it was only the one 1.
And I haven't asked Magix as it wasn't a huge problem, I was just wondering if anyone on here had had a similar problem and knew the answer.

Hi

Another possibility is that you have a very short audio object on a higher track number that you are missing - place the timeline cursor at or very near the point where the click occurs and zoom in on this point.

Scroll down all the tracks to see if there is a stray object which should not be there.

i have the same problem with music maker mx premium .
while playing the song in the program it sounds fine .
after exporting as mp3 or wav i hear the fuzzy sound  or sometimes i get this bizzare computer cluck sound.
i havent found out the long term solution yet . the temporary fix is this
1) if u hear the fuzzy sound, save your song, close the program.
reopen  and as soon as you open that song file in magix export that file  .
2) as for the cluck sound, i did SELECT ALL and moved all the tracks over while keeping each instrument on the same track .
then save, export as . i gotta find out the long term solution because its really gettin on my nerves now .
its making more work for me and is more time consuming when you have to export multiple times .
and you have to listen to the entire export to make sure it doesnt have a defect .
