Collage key frames puzzle

Here's one for the collage experts:

The reason I'm asking is that I'd like to access and change the KFs. Near the end of the collage I might for example want to expand the bottom right image to fill the screen. I can, of course, do that sort of thing with an intermediate export, but why can't I work with the elements directly?

Terry, My answer assumed you were working on a customized collage for use later, not making adjustments to one being used in a project.

John, Note that Terry's screen shot only shows tracks 1 - 8. I'm sure tracks 9 - 11 have objects, its just that the are not visible.

Hi Terry,

Below is my screen when I apply the 3 object #11 (16:9) collage. I have objects on tracks 6 to 11.

When I click on the first image, in track 7, and go to Movement effects, Size/Position, I get key frames. See below.

I can move the keyframes to different locations. I didn’t try to do much more.

I can ungroup the objects. When I click on the collage object on track 1, a message comes up in the effects box as shown below:

It says: Effects cannot be applied to collage objects. First, remove the collage, apply the effects to the individual objects and then drag the collage onto the object again.

Seems strange that you only get the collage plus 3 tracks.

I keep the Magix programs and application data in their default positions, that is, on my C drive. If you have installed them elsewhere, this may be a source of some of your problems.

Regards,

John

Hi John,

Just repeated that identical test and I get exactly the same results as you this time. I've no idea why it's so different to my previous result!

This was MEP 2013 BTW, as was my previous test, although because of the low resolution of this site's embedded images that wasn' readable in my screenshot.

It's the intermittent bugs that are the worst...

Thanks Carl, I'll try that. Although as you see, my latest test gave me normal access to the KFs.
