Combine two videos

birgem-b wrote on 11/14/2018, 6:58 AM

Hi, Can you help me. I have Movie edit pro Premium 2018 and I would like to have 2 videos combined. On which way? To see both in the same time but just one which would be main. That means to see one video but second to see behind like a ghost. Example. In One video my daughter play guitar but in the same time through first video where my doughtier play guitar to see second video with horses. How to make it? Is it possible?

Hi,

the track 1 is the daugter playing guitar the track 2 is a green screen video like horse you hide the green background using the chromakey effecr.

Hi,

There are several ways to do what you want - picture-in-picture effect.

First way, and probably the easiest is to use the Cookie Cutter under the Effects tab.

Place the clips as shown (I usually reserve track 2 for the audio part of a video). The clip that will be in the small part should be on track 3, the main clip on track 1. Apply the cookie cutter effect to the clip that is on track 3. Everything else is playing around with the parameters. You can also use the Size/Position effect (under View/Animation) to move the track 3 clip to get the part that you want in the cookie cutter window. If you want the clip in the cookie cutter window, the one on track 3 to be more ghostly, drag down the middle handle of the video object.

If you want to reverse this effect, that is, have the clip on track 1 in the cookie cutter window, then change the Method to "Cut away section."

Second way is to use a mask For this, you need more skill

A third way so the entire second image is visible against the main image is to just use the same method as you would use to produce a fade. Always fade the highest of the numbered track you want to be translucent.
