My brother is a 50s 60s Rock n Roll fan and I just can't seem to find the right sounds for creating a full blown track. Would welcome any suggestions of sounds I might try. I also would like to make my own notes but having probs understanding how to. Many thanks.

Hello:

I have every soundpool library package available from MMM.  Thus far, I have not found any soundpool specifically dedicated to '50's & '60's rock n roll within any set.  You may have to look outside at third-party loop productions,

You might want to check here: http://www.audiosparx.com/sa/display/submain.cfm/sound_group_iid.2684

Hope I've steered you in the right direction.

Actually, the 50s and 60s were pretty basic stuff...there were no MIDI, synths. loops, sampling.  There were 4 guys.  Some played, some sang.  In The Stil of The Night was recorded in a church basement.  The Crickets were Buddy Holly on lead and 3 other guys, one on a stand up bass, one played rhythm amd athe drummer had a single stand up snare.  Some of the best are still araound.....Jerry Lee Lewis, and the real KING...Lil' Richard.

I got a billion stories, but can't remember most of 'em.
