Crashing in Windows 10

Paul-Scott wrote on 2/14/2026, 2:13 PM

Has anyone got this message previously. I had Magix Movie Studio 2023 and got this message. I, wrongly, assumed that by getting the latest version Video DeLuxe 2026 last week, that it may solve the problem, but alas, I'm getting the same issue. It had previously worked OK on Windows 10 up until last week. Video Driver is up to date.

Very frustrating.

Magix have emailed to say they have offered a solution but none of the examples they have cited match this message.

Does any of this help?

@Paul-Scott Hi, your PC is old & under powered, consider rolling back to Movie Studio 2023 & rolling back to a graphics driver that did work. (if Movie Studio 2023 did work at some time)

assumed that by getting the latest version Video DeLuxe 2026 last week, that it may solve the problem,

Prob quite the opposite -

Video Deluxe 2026 specs

'CPU: 6th generation Intel Core i5' - Yours 'The Intel® Core™ i5-2400 is a 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ processor,

'GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce RTX or GTX 1050ti or higher with 4GB' - Yours 'NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 with 1GB'

'RAM: 16GB' - Yours '8.00GB'

I had same issue and my pc is latest spec. Problem appears to be that, although spec says Nvidia recommended fo 4K, the software is not compatible with nvidia drivers an I had to disable the hardware acceleration and force it to use the intel onboard graphics chip. Unless anybody can suggest a driver that works for the GeForce RTX3090 on windows 11.

Thanks for the info, will try rolling drivers back to a previous version. This forum is great! Thanks again 👍

@Mike-Edmonston

Hi

Are you creating or intend to create Blu-ray discs with the software?

If so then there is a 'compatibility issue' with hardware acceleration encoding of AVCHD Interlaced video on Nvidia GPUs which support NVENC eg the GTX 10xx series onwards.

The dedicated built-in decoder/encoder module of the NV GPU's does not support AVCHD Interlaced encoding.

. . . . my pc is latest spec . . .

It would help us help you if you put your computer spec in your signature. See mine as an example.
