Did you mean '14' or '2014'? MEP 14 is quite old but would have a similar function though the menu has changed. In MEP 2014 (and 22015 which I've used for illustration) you need to go to the effects tab and pick 'Section' from the movement list:
Adjust the dashed outline to you liking and the job is done! Note that this action will crop the entire video, assuming it is on the timeline as a single object. You can of course make cuts in your clip and do the cropping on only parts. Better still, MEP provided for key-frame animation where you can have different cropping regions throughout your clip and have smooth transitions between.
Hey Carl, I have imported a video into Magix Edit Pro 14...I know it is old....but can I "crop" this video it is long and I only want the end of it.....
MEP 14 is over six years old but I assume you haven't owned it for very long?
This very basic editing procedure is covered, with illustrations, on pages 42-44 of the MEP 14 PDF User manual.
In short, place the orange timeline marker at the start of the part you want to keep. Press the T key to cut it at that point. Then select the previous long part you don't need and delete it. Make any further trims you need in the same way. Drag your wanted clip to the start (time = 0) and that's it.
