In amoungst all the shenanigans with re-installing MEP was the lack of my custom keyboard (I reallocate the F keys to actions I use regularly). Ever since I have been using MEP (and that is a LONG time! 🙂), I have been unable to load a keyboard that I have saved.
Has anybody ever had any success with saving and reloading their custom keyboards after a reinstall?

The default keyboard shortcuts are stored in the Videodeluxe.ini file under the [Accelerators] section.
Whether copy and pasting them from the saved shortcut file to the ini file replacing all that is in that section will work I do not know as I backup the whole ini file in case of issues and put the backup into the correct location if the original gets corrupted.

I didn't check MEP, but in VPX, you can save the shortcuts and load them; file extension .ssc.
I don't know whether or not MEP/VPX remembers if you loaded your own, but if you did save your shortcuts in the previous version, you should be able to load them from the ssc file in the new version.

I worked out how to trick the system; I saved my keyboard in the keyboard folder then renamed it the MAGIX_Keyboard.ssc. MEP is now obeying my keyboard.
In previous versions, I did try saving "my" SSC in the keyboard folder (without renaming) but that didn't work; it was ignored.

That is interesting - when I tried doing that MEP ignored it, similarly when I changed a shortcut that file was not updated.
A quick check on older version ini shows this is another change in MEP 2021 - the settings are now in the program ini file, the other change found is the burn log file is now merged into the main program log file. 😕
