Default slide duration settings

Hi I am new to Photostory having moved over from Pro Show Producer. So far I am very impressed. There are a few differences and maybe I am just not aware of how to do these. In PSP I could set up a default slide duration. My slideshows tend to have quite alot of pictures so I like the defaults at 4 seconds. The best I can tell this is set to 7s and I cannot change it for all pictures unless I add them at at once and select them all and change it.

I usually start my slideshow and build them out one by one not all together. Is there a way to do this from the menu?

Hi,

File, Settings, Program (shortcut Y) - Options tab, change Image length to 4 seconds. While you're there, look at everything so that you become familiar with the settings.

Can you clarify what you mean?

The standard method for most video editors is to start a new project, create the slide show adding the objects - video, images, titles and audio, as required, saving the project regularly and when fully assembled export as video and, in the case of Photostory, a slideshow export is also available if that is what you require.

Further to what John EB mentioned, you can drag and drop your photos and videos from the Media Pool onto the timeline and onto a track where you want.

I suggest that you read the QuickStart chapter in the manual. It gives a good overview of the entire process.
