design elements

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

The spectral displays were kind of cool but they disappeared years ago and from discussion at the time there was no way of copying them to a newer program.

Did you download and install the Design Elements package when you installed MEP2021?

Yes, I believe so. I left everything check marked during the install.

Does the installation manager show them all as Installed, with the date?

Just checked and yes, they all say installed.

These particular visualisations are not in the Design elements I have for MEP 2015 or later.

Hi,

How far back are you talking about? I am presently copying the content files from VDL2001 onto a hard drive from the CD. LoRes of course. The first ones that I looked at are avi files and cannot be viewed, with one exception, without installing Ligos Indeo.

After that, I have access to MEP2013, but I didn't notice anything spectral-like. I didn't keep backups of the content of older MEPs.

Does anyone have a filename?

IIRC the last time I saw the spectral visualisations they were in MEP MX or earlier.

I will have a look at the discs for earlier versions I have (14, 15 & 17).

I found them in MEP 17, however they are not compatible with later versions of MEP as they are .vis files.

How did you get them? I presume that you would have to have run the exe files.

Installed MEP 17 on my old laptop.

There are no useable format files similar to what @sjewins requires.

There are a lot of similar visuals available on the Internet for free, eg on Videvo, Pixabay etc - the only thing you have to watch out for is some are in MOV format and may require converting if not AVC encoded.
