Design Elements, Intros and Outros

bjornuno wrote on 1/13/2015, 6:18 AM

I started one project with a two year old version Magix Edit Pro MX. Using among others, the " Globe Intro". Now I try to complete my project on a new computer and with the latest version Magix Edit Pro 2015 Premium. The intros and outros in the two versions are totally different. There may be a simple solution to this, but I have so far not found it. Anyone out there who can help ?

Hi,

Do you mean that Globe Intro doesn't exist in MEP 2015? Or that it does exist but has different content?

I have MEP 2014, which has Globe Intro in its list of Intros/Outros and I would expect MEP 2015 to have it too. If you have the menu entry Help > Free download, have you downloaded all the extra files?

Yes, I downloaded all the extra files yesterday. But the Intros/Outros are different from the ones I downloaded a year or two ago for my older version of MEP. So, on my laptop I have the old version with the GLOBE Intro, and on my recent version on my new stationary I received totally different ones. I just wonder if there is a way of transferring MEP elements from one computer to the other ?? I am unable to trace them in detail my directories. Well, I am not a computer expert, so there is maybe a possible solution to this annoying situation.

Hi,

You can copy the Intro/Ourto files from the MX version to the same location in MEP 2015. Do not copy the Translation_xx.ini files as the new ones in MEP2015 should not be touched and they already contain the information for the old Intros/Outros. The old cfx, ogg, mwv files are just not in MEP2015. If there are duplicates, keep the new ones.

Copy from:

C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Movie_Edit_Pro_MX_Plus_Download_Version\IntroOutro

to:

C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro 2015 Premium\IntroOutro

I can't find the corresponding icons. In MEP2015 they are at:

C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro 2015 Premium\IntroOutro\Icons

The icons folder under IntroOutro only shows up starting with MEP2014.

Note that Globe is actually called:

[spacetravel_intro]
minlength=16
name=Globe intro
text=Intro\nGlobe

and the above information is already in the 2015 ini file.

Hi

I can confirm that MEP 2015 does not have the globe intro.

@Terry

. . . . I have MEP 2014, which has Globe Intro in its list of Intros/Outros . . . .

Did you add this from MEP 2013 or MX?

There is no Globe intro in my MEP 2014 as you can see (all downloads were installed)?

John

Hi John,

I must have done then. I always copy any 'lost' resources across from previous versions
