Difficulty uploading video from camera into MMMP 1015

Hi

I connect my cameras USB socket to my comuter, the screen on camera says PC connect. I press PC, a menu comes up on my monitor asking me what I want to do, MMEP 2015 is already high lighted so I ignnore this sreen like I did in MMEP 2013.

Now I start up MMEP2015 on the main screen I press the record button, I double click the AVCHD/SDcard/USB window because AVCHYD is what I always record with my camera. The video sometimes shows on the Import screen for a split second then dissapears, sometimes they don't come on at all, when they do theygo to a different folder I pointed them to. Also the thumnail icon from my video in the folder where I keep my camera video clips is usually a brown film picture with an ext MTS which is what it should be, but with MMEP2015 it'a a Blue folder followed by a long number. all the display filters are ticked apart from 'Delete selected media after import from camera. Is there something in the software menus that you after that I have missed, I didn't have this problem with MMEP 2013.

Hello Michael.  I can't answer your question from direct experience so this may not be helpful, but
1.  Have you tried clicking on the "highlighted MMEP 2015" icon mentioned in your first paragraph?  If you do, what happens?
2.  Although I connect my HD Video Camera to my computer via Firewire rather than USB, I don't attempt to use MEP/VPX to import the footage but simply copy the AVCHD files from the camera to a chosen folder on one of my hard drives.  Then open a new project in MEP/VPX and import the files (by pointing, in my case, VPX to the folder where they have been copied) for editing etc.  Might be worth you trying this approach?  My feeling is that this method of "direct importing" of the files can prevent MEP/VPX doing anything to them before they reach your hard drive.
