DLL's for audio not loading

alexaa wrote on 11/20/2017, 11:11 AM

Every time I start Movei Edit Pro Premium I get the following errors:

Lately everytime I start my Movie Edit Pro 2016, these messages keep popping up for what could not be loaded:

DSP_DLL_18_x64_vc12.dll (Graph EQ) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_14_x64_vc12.dll (Param EQ) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_03_x64_vc12.dll (MB Stereo Enhancer) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_33_x64_vc12.dll (Maximizer) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_21_x64_vc12.dll (Reverb) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_20_x64_vc12.dll (Echo/Delay) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

Internal DSP error: Effect "Echo" will be ignored

DSP_DLL_24_x64_vc12.dll (Analyzer) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

Because of these errors, I can not use the audio effects in the program.

I have tried un-installing and re-installing to no avail. I have also use the update online feature to get any recent patches.

Any idea on what can be done to fix this?

Thanks.

Hi

. . . . Lately everytime I start my Movie Edit Pro 2016, these messages keep popping up for what could not be loaded: . . . .

We need more information:

  1. Computer specification - processor make/model, graphics card or chipset, RAM,  hard drive configuration, sizes and free space?

  2. Windows version and is it up to date?  Press and hold down the Windows key and the R key - in the dialog that opens type in winver and press enter.

  3. Software full name and version number - as found under Help, About . . .

  4. What changed on the computer between MEP 2016 working and not working? Eg did you upgrade to Windows 10 or a new version upgrade to an existing Windows 10.

  5. Have you used a clean up program such as CCleaner just before the issue appeared?

. . . . I have tried un-installing and re-installing to no avail. . . . .

This will not always fix issues because of files that are left behind by the un-installer - see this tutorial for re-installing - it applies to Windows 7 and 8 however step 3 to 10 should not need to be done.

Also please read this post before replying and add any other information you think may be relevant.

Hi

Link to the tutorial is now working - it would appear that links were not working correctly earlier - several of my posts were having problems.

Hi John,

I followed the instructions in the tutorial and I am still getting the same issue with the DLL's.

Scenestealer wrote on 11/20/2017, 3:55 PM

Hi

I have had this problem in the past and it appeared to have been caused by a (failed) Windows update that had hooked out the .dll's - and not just with Magix programs.

Make sure all recent Windows updates and particularly Windows hardware driver updates have installed correctly. This can sometimes be corrected by a Windows Restart ie not just a Shutdown then Startup.

Others claim to have fixed it by doing a Repair installation from the MEP Installation manager.

I checked "Windows Update History" and all updates were installed successfully- "Quality Updates", "Drive Updates" and "Other Updates". I have restarted Windows as well as the repair function with MEP.

Still having the issue.

Maybe try down loading your Realtek sound card and Nvidia video drivers from the respective manufacturers website. Select the Custom install from the Nvidia driver installer option then Clean install.
