Hi,

The division of Magix that handles music, soundpools, etc is Catooh.  I have never heard of them offering to develop custom music but it could not hurt to ask.

I am more interested in your comment that when you change the pitch of a project, you loose audio quality.  Do you notice this loss on just your computer or on a good quality audio system with good speakers?  Also how are you exporting your files MP3, WAV, or something else?

I export any material that will be played on something other than a computer or MP3 player to the Wave (.WAV) format for the best audio quality. Yes it creates much larger files but the audio is not compressed and therefore does not incur any of the losses associated with file compression.  Do you add effects such as reverb, eq, compressor, etc before or after you change pitch and if yes do you re-mix and master the entire project?

I have created many music projects and most of them require some level of pitch adjustment especially when using live vocals or instruments.  All of thes projects when played back through my NAD audio system through JM Lab Focal speakers (both pretty high end) I detect no degradation of audio quality at all.

Good Luck,

George

by the way are you trying to change pitch up from A minor to C#m or drop pitch down almost an ocatave from A minor to C#m?

I want to drop pitch down almost an ocatave from A minor to C#m. following is the example of loop i used.

SoundPools > MovieScore8 > Strings > Violin stacc A.

Hi,

Ok, here is a recording of 6 bars of the Violin stacc A,  the first 2 bars are from the original soundpool, the second 2 are pitch adjusted down by about 7 steps (almost 1 ocatave), and the third 2 bars are the second adjusted back to the original pitch.  Other than some very slight reduction in audio volume what form of distortion or reduced audio quality do you hear when listening through a high end audio system (not your computer) but a high end audio system?

Ignore the video I needed to include some video for youtube to post it.
