Does Magix have a hidden 1 download policy?

On Sept 17, I purchased the lastest Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium. I downloaded it immediately, the download went smoothly and it has been working great until 3 days later. Now, when I click on any video along the timeline, it only cuts the video. I can drag the stuff to the right of this forced cut but the left side stays put. So, I can no longer "Drag and Point" the entire video segments like I always have.. (ps..I have been using Magix products since 2016) So, I decide to uninstall it to see if that would solve the problem. Then I go back to my download link in my email to re-install it. However, now, it does the age old problem, after a few seconds....it pauses and does nothing. What has changed in past 3 days? The only thing difference is that this is the second download from the same link, same computer...strange. My computer has a Ryzen 7 and a GTX 3070 Graphic card and everything is up to date. Does Magix have some sort of code built into the program to only allow the installation ONCE?? I, and reading the posts, as well as others have had this problem where the download pauses in the past and Magix never gives a clear answer to this issue. Any thoughts why this problem exists after only 3 days???

@R.R. The download problem is very likely caused by your Windows security settings. The downloader loads an exe installer from the servers and Windows Defender or a firewall likes to prevent this by blocking it or deleting it instantly.

But the first download should still be on your machine. The download manager usually saves the installer under C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\MAGIX Downloads\Installationsmanager\

Press 6 on the top row of your keyboard. Does that help?

BTW, reinstalling never solves problems like this. It can do more harm than good.

We haven't heard back. Did you try pressing 6?

It sounds to me like you have the Split & Trim button activated instead of normal mouse mode for an object.

If anything solved your problem, please at least tag one of them as a solution.

Hello...I could not try your suggestion as I stated in my first post that I had removed the program, thus, I could not try pressing 6. Since I could not re-install the program from their original link, I contacted Magix. Yesterday, I got a a new, direct link, and downloaded the program with no problem. So far, so good. Any of the other suggestions do not seem to appear to deal with the issue since this link worked fine, like the other one, first install on a machine works fine............after that?????

Thanks for coming back. Glad you got it up and running.

I presume that you understand about those mouse modes and the other buttons in the toolbar. If not, let us know. I have a tutorials on what they are and how to use them.
