I have been using MEP since MEP 14. I like the DVD copy program that used to come with MEP until MEP 17 stopping packaging it with the program. Do I realy have to keep MEP 16 installed just to use the DVD copy program??
The MAGIX CD-R Utility bundled with MEP 16 is an executable called MXCDR.exe. On my PC it's located here:
C:\Program Files\MAGIX\Movie_Edit_Pro_16_Plus\mxcdr\MXCDR.exe
It's a long-shot but maybe it works OK in stand-alone mode? Or with just a few additional files which you might be able to isolate and keep, if you're really set on uninstalling MEP 16?
Personally, I keep all my old versions installed - not least to respond to occasional queries like this!
But there are lots of DVD copying programs around, so that's the obvious solution. For two or three extra copies, I simply re-burn the VOB folder with ImgBurn, which is what I use for the original, in preference to the less reliable MEP burner.
