Edit Preloaded Intos/Outros

Perhaps a simple question, but I have spent significant time try to figure out how to change the text (title) inside the premade Intros/Outros located in Effects>Design>Intro/Outro.

They seem they like they should be something you can change (One, for example, just says INTRO in the text portion with the rest of the intro around)  Why would these be included if they can't be altered?  Or am I missing something that would allow me to create my own using those simply as templates?

Any info would be much appreciated

Hi,

You should be able to simply d-click the text object and alter it!

Thats what I thought, and after posting that I discovered that indeed you must D-Click on the element containing the actuall text, I have my tracks view shrunk down to 2 tracks visable and didn't scroll down to see that one at the bottom!  Although there do seem to be some in the folder that can't be altered, but those seem more produced as complete elements.  Thanks!

Hi,

Do a test project. Bring in a clip, apply the Intro, click on the Intro, click on the Ungroup button. Now you should be able to play with all of the elements of the Intro where possible. You can modify or replace the sound, for example.

Do a search on this part of the Forum for Intros. You will probably find some interesting ideas on how to create your own.
