editing 360 video

alexaa wrote on 7/1/2018, 9:24 AM

I am trying to use "Magix Edit Pro 2016 Premium" to edit "Insta360 One" processed stills and videos into a 360 video.  After getting the video setup I am using the following export settings:

______________________________________
Workflow for 360 video using Magix 2016

edit movie
export movie:
    video as mp4
     resolution 3840 x 1920
___________________________________________

When the created movie is used, there is a black circle at the top (apex) of the movie.

Do you know of any settings/procdures I should change to avoid the black circle?

Hi

Without a lot more information of what you are actually doing to the images and video once you get it into MEP, ie what effects you are applying etc, it is difficult to advise.

Have you seen this article on 360 deg editing?

Thanks for the rapid response John.

I am trying to make a 360 movie from 360 stills (jpgs) and 360 video (mp4) that I shot recently with my Insta360 One camera. Both video and stills were processed (stiched) with the Insta360 Studio to produce the stitched mp4 and dng files. I than took the dng files into Photoshop to enhance them I used the "file info import" function in Photoshop to bring in the appropriate EXIF info for the 360 photos and save them as jpgs. I imported the stiched mp4's and jpg's into "MEP" 2016. I then do a file export :

export movie:
    video as mp4
     resolution 3840 x 1920

Thanks again for the article and the response.

Hi

Does the stitched version of the video show the hole before it gets in to MEP 2016?

Can you upload a short clip, about 10 secs, from the camera and the stitched version, a jpg image would also help ,to somewhere like Dropbox for us to have a look at.
