Editing timecode

ROBERT-HUGHES wrote on 5/4/2019, 5:08 AM

Good day,

I'm trying to time stamp football match action at the moment and recently discovered the time code which is great, up to 59 minutes.

When it turns to the hour though, the display is obviously 1 hour and so many minutes.. as you are aware it's referred to as the 75 minute (not one hour 15 mins)

Has anyone got any tips on how I can change this display please?

I was then going to export it and hopefully use as an additional layer on all future videos

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

I understand what you are wanting to do, but I don't think there is any method to achieve it!

TC (timecode) is always "measured/recorded" as hours:minutes:seconds:frames. That is the international broadcast standard which Magix adheres to and I can see no method by which the user can "edit" the displayed data in order to achieve what you want to do. Sorry. 😭

Jeff

EDIT: I've just checked this in the latest version of MEP Premium, 18.0.3.261, and can find no method there either.

Thanks for the feedback.. in that case, I may just have to put something more painful together to 'timestamp' a template myself..

Wish me luck ;)
