Encoding problems with MEP Edit Pro 2015

Windows 8.1; Movie Edit Pro 2015

I'm getting the error that some others have gotten: ERROR: PrepareDVDVideoFiles() failed with errNo 5 - encoding failed / !!! DBK error in BurnProject: 10 - movie encoding failed !!!

I have seen the suggestion to Encode to Directory and then use something else, like Imageburn, to actually burn the disc. Well, I tried that. Still didn't help:

Hi,

There have been many problems burning with MEP2015. Which patch version do you have? The latest is 14.0.0.166.

Yeah I'm having burning issues as well, it would seem that if your video is longer than 2 hours you will have audio sync problems. I installed the latest patch and wasn't able to burn anything, I uninstall MEP PRO 2015 and re-installed it, did not install the patch, still had the audio problem. To get my project onto a disk I exported it in MPEG4 to NERO 12 and burned to a disk no problems. I never had burning issues with MEP Pro 2013, I hope they fix the problem soon.

Hi Doug,

Does your problem occur with other projects? Try a small test project.

See this thread. If after reviewing requested information indicated below, nothing works, then reinstallation may be the solution.

Post screen shots of your burn parameter screens, including the first 2 tabbed pages under Advanced. There may be a problem with the parameters.

I also encode to a folder, but then use MEP's burning facility. It seems to work fine once the video is encoded.
