@John-Guy

Hi and welcome to the forum

If this is a new install where did you purchase the program from?

Error code -24 means the serial number has already been registered to another email address.

If this is a re-install then you need to enter the Email address with which the software was originally registered.

I purchased it directly from Magix... it was an upgrade from my version 14... I also had version 14 installed on another laptop and I believe also on a previous laptop which isn’t functioning anymore… I may have registered it under a different email address on that laptop but I can’t remember...

The serial number I used to register version 17 was the same serial number i used to register version 14...

since the difference in price between a fresh install of 17 and an upgrade version of 17 is only $15, I would gladly make up the difference in price for a fresh install...

Oh... The version 14 on my laptop is registered to the same email address as the version 17 on my desktop… I did however notice that the email address on my laptop is in all capital letters, whereas the email address on my desktop is in small letters... could THAT be the issue???

@John-Guy

You mention version 14 and version 17. Can we confirm exactly which Magix program you are referring to?

@ericlnz

Hi Eric.

My thanks also! I rather suspected that might be the case with the mention of the two versions.
