Error Code -57

snowpheonix wrote on 11/11/2020, 8:58 AM

Installed Movie Edit Pro Premium and got error -57.
Thought maybe it was a conflict so I uninstalled my old version and the new version, restrarted the computer and did a fresh install.. still "Error -57: Contact support"

I use Windows 7 64 bit version.. The 2018 version worked just fine... Whats up with this?

@snowpheonix

Have a careful read of this thread, especially the posts by @johnebaker. I think you will find the answer there!

Yes, updating Windows did the trick. You have to keep in mind that a lot of us simply don't trust Windows updates.. I've had too many times when an update happens and my system crashes... this time it worked.. Now I'm downloading all the content.. Let's see if Magix video editing was as good an update as the music maker..

That at least went seemless.. it's what inspired me to trust them on this one..

Thanks for the help..

@snowpheonix

Glad to hear that helped!

However, these are user to user forums, so no Magix product is our software. (You were previously told this in a post in this thread!!!)
