Error during proxy rendering

I keep getting “error occurred during proxy rendering” message every time I try to drag a movie to a new project. There are no readonly or HD space limitations, and it happens on every test on different projects with different movie imports.

Its been quite some time since I've used the product. I dont think there was a solution, if I remember correctly I've stopped using the proxy rendering.

We need more information:

Computer specification - processor make/model, graphics card or chipset, RAM, hard drive configuration, sizes and free space?
Windows version and is it up to date?
Software full name and version number - as found under Help, About . . .
Format and resolution of the video being added to the timeline

Also please read this post before replying and add any other information you think may be relevant.
