error message...error in module "mpeg2.dll"

I am using Movie Edit Pro 2014 plus.  When I go to import video (from a video camera that has been uploaded and saved on my computer), I get this error message....error in module "mpeg2.dll".  When I added video from an older camcorder, I didn't get this message.  It only shows up when I try to add video from our new camcorder.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software.  I have eliminated unused software on our computer, cleaned it up and defragmented it.  I have looked online at posts others have made regarding this issue and have tried what they recommended, but nothing seems to work.

Thanks for your help.

Hi

Depending on the make / model of the camcorder you may have to use the software that came with it to copy the files from the camera to the PC or you need to install the correct drivers for the camera.

I did use the software to upload the video from the camera to the computer.  I installed everything that came with the camera.

Hi

What is the make / model of the camera and the file format, video bitrate and audio bitrate?

The video camera is a Panasonic SDR-H100, and the file format is MPEG.  How do I figure out the video and audio bitrate?

Thanks for your help.

I have started receiving this error also.  What is weird is that it worked fine at first, but now I am getting this error, even though all the video is from the same source.  In my case a security camera by Avigilon, in MPG4 format.

Sorry, mine is MP4 format.  It worked fine at first.
