Error when "Create overlay graphics/animations..."

frankie-b wrote on 7/9/2018, 6:38 PM

Hi!

I really don't know if you can help me. But anyway.

I bought from Steam : Magix Video Deluxe 2018 Plus (Movie Edit Pro) and Magix Photo & Graphic Designer 15.

Both work correctly when used individually. BUT when I want to "Create overlay graphics/animations" from Movie Edit Pro to Photo & Graphic Designer, I get an error : "Application load error V:0000065432". And I see that Photo & Graphic Designer opened on the taskbar but closes when the message error window closes.

Steps to follow :

1. Open a project

2. Select a small movie clip

3. Right click on the clip

4. Select "Video effects" - "Create overlay graphics/animations..."

Thank You!

. . . . . I bought from Steam : Magix Video Deluxe 2018 Plus (Movie Edit Pro) and Magix Photo & Graphic Designer 15. . . . .

AFAICS the Application load error V:0000065432 is a Steam issue - see this topic.

I was also thinking that it's a steam issue... But I've seen all the messages about those softwares on the Steam community and it looks like few answers/solutions are given.

To add to my post, a popup appears sometime after I close the "Application load error V:0000065432" error popup. (See the image above) I don't know if it can help.

About this pop, I already try to force those softwares and steam to open as administrator... But the same error happens.

NEW : This popup seems to open when I click to edit on the timeline but nothing happens because Movie Edit Pro freezes for some seconds after the "Application load error V:0000065432" error popup appears.

HI,

Make sure that Xara is not open when you do this. If it is, it will likely cause a crash or a freeze. Other than that, Steam's problem.

The problem is that Steam Support tells me it is Magix problem :/. Who's right? I guess it doesn't matter. All I want is this feature to work. This is one reason why I bought Photo & Graphic Designer.

Hi

. . . . Steam Support tells me it is Magix problem . . . .

Did they say what the problem was, or was their response just as you have written?

It works correctly for John CB, myself and presumably others who have followed John CB's tutorials on using Xara P&GD with MEP and VPX.

Personally I cannot see any good reason to by software such as Xara and MEP through Steam.

IMHO it is much better to get direct from the manufacturer.

It's just that after searching for support from Steam, they give us links to Magix Support pages and forum. Looks like there is no support from steam. People tell their problems on the Steam Forum, but nearly no one give an answer. The good reason why I bought Magix softwares on Steam was because of the price... 60% off for both Magix softwares. I guess I will have to live without this "Create overlay graphics/animations..." feature :/
