Evaluating Video 2015, the red vertical line on the timeline resets to begining of the clip when I stop or pause.

I am regular user of video edit 2014.  ON the timeline there is a vertical red line that moves with the play while editing.  In version 2015 when I stop or pause the play the red line resets to the begining of the clip.  Anyone know what is going on?

Hi,

It's an obscure bug that's been around for a long time.

No fix is 100% sure to work but here are three alternatives::

1. Click Optimize view bottom right.

2. Open a new movie (tab), copy/paste to that, and work there, then deleting the original corrupt movie.

3. Save and restart MEP 2014.

I have 2014 and VPX6, not 2015, but I presume that they are similar. Press on Y to go to Program settings, Playback tab, at the right hand side under Arranger, Spacebar behavior. Normally the option is Spacebar stops at current playback position. I unchecked mine. Try checking it to see if that helps.
