"export aborted: not supported by hardware" error

Been using MEP 2021 (ver 20.0.1.65) for months with no problem.

I burned a DVD but decided I needed to edit it further before burning again.

Since then, MEP refuses to burn. I had it making an ISO for over a day. Nothing happened.

I rebooted the PC several times. Created a new project & cut and pasted the edited original in.

Still nothing. So I decided to export the movie as a file to burn using different s'ware.

MEP returns "export aborted: not supported by hardware" error whatever CODEC I choose for export or whether I have "hardware encoding" ticked or not in Advanced settings.

Shotcut & VideoProc work fine so I know it's a MEP issue not my PC.

Any ideas to fix this, please?

Hi.

It may be you have ticked some of the 'Use hardware acceleration boxes' within MEP at some point but the program does not support your graphics chip. It needs to be HD graphics 520 or above. Yours is older, not newer.

Make sure in the program settings that you are not using the Intel GPU or Direct X and make sure all hardware acceleration is turned off.

Following your advice, Ray, I dug into the Program settings - import/export tab and MEP is once again functioning.
