Export as AVI Produces 90GB avi File? Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 plus

Can anyone tell me why, when I edit a 700mb avi file with Magix movie edit pro 16 plus, and try to export as an AVI file it comes out as a whopping 90GB avi file. Is there any way to produce a normal sized avi (700mb)? I have looked at the compression and there is only 4 options

1.Microsoft RLF

2.Microsoft Video 1

3.Intel IYUV

4.Cinepak Codec By Radius

There are a couple of the codecs which have quality sliders, But I dont want a lower quality AVi than I used for the input, Just the same quality but with the adjustments made.

All I want to do is produce an AVI file of normal size so that I can check the adjustment to see if they need any further adjustment before transcoding to DVD. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Thanks In Advance

Vince

Hi,

You export as AVI uncompressed format which is about 10 times bigger than compressed format. Export as WMV format or MP4 format. Why is you must play with new technology than past technology of 10 years or 2 decades.
