Exporting issues.

kihonrichy wrote on 6/11/2015, 8:41 AM

Hello,

I have magix movie editor 2015.

I am currently editingsome videos, only things like inserting texts/captions, fades and titles for the moment, very basic stuff, however I'm getting really frustrated with something very silly.

My movie plays fine in the preview monitor, however after I am exporting, the colours shift, and a lot of it seems to go a black and white hue and only a little portion of it is actually colour.

This has got from being a pain to a damned right annoyance since I haven't been able to actually export anything properly yet.

I am wanting to make mpeg format but I have tried the others to see the difference but it's all the same.

I know my pc isn't the issue here as I can clearly see it's fine it I were to open the un-edited video I see perfect colour.

And when exporting...

Please, any help would be soo much appreciated.

Thank you,

Rich.

Hi Rich and welcome to the Magix Community,

For a start, have you updated to the latest patch?

Also, did you download and install the Free addons under Help?

Hello and thanks for your reply, nice to be here!

I didn't actually realise I could do that.

Am doing it now thank you, but would that really be the reason for this?

kihonrichy wrote on 6/11/2015, 8:59 AM

Okay so i've just done the update but I'm getting the same results as the images I have posted above :(

kihonrichy wrote on 6/11/2015, 9:18 AM

So one thing I've discovered, the yellow blob on the wall to the right is actually the the mat that's on the left hand side of the video, ontop of the side boxes. so it's almost like the picture's colours have shifted over or something? Urgh I didn't sign up for this... hah.

Strange indeed. I'm travelling so I can't help much. Someone else, like John EB will have to jump in here to help.

Could you please post your computer specs, and information about the source of your files, type/format, camera, NTSC or PAL, fps, interlaced or progressive?

Does this happens with other files as well?

Do you have anything else open on your computer that could cause some interference?

Does it happen if you bring in a few still images and try to export?

Can you post a screen shot of your export parameters?

Did you click on 3D or anaglyph anywhere?

Hi

Is your Quicktime installation upto date?  MEP uses the QT codecs for MOV files.

If not install the latest version of QT and try again

Are you using any of the 'All in one' codec packs? If so they may be interfering with MEP. - personally I avoid them after having too many problems with them.

Also check that you have not accidentally add a second copy of the video to a lower track that is not visible in the imges you have posted

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

I know for sure that it's not my camera, I just tested it and the colour's seem to be fine when exporting just a picture as mpeg.

Considering I've literally just installed and being the first video I've done, I haven't changed any settings then what it comes standard with.

This picture is of the video file on my pc, not editing, just the raw video.

This is the settings

The preview..

And a Screen shot of the edited file playing...

If you look closely, in the top left corner is the circle badge/writing faded that is actually the badge that's on the wall in the middle.

My specs are fine on my pc, using radeon graphics and AMD dual core APU, I play all my games fine.

Just seems to be a problem in the exporting, anyone any ideas? Pulling my hair out at the moment, I'm quite new to this so I have no real idea what to do!

Thank you

Rich.

Rich,

You didn't really answer any of my questions.

Sorry for the late reply, been a little busy!

I have an AMD A6-6400 APU with radeon HD graphics.

8 Gig RAM and Windows 7 Ultimate edition.

My camera is a Fujifilm FinePix S9200.

Unaware of the NTSC or PAL as there are no options, but I would guess PAL, exporting in either format seems to make no difference though.

I'm shooting at 1280x720 at 30 FPS, when I set a new movie up on Movie Edit Pro to those settings I don't need to adjust anything.

Again, no settings on the camera for interlaced or progressive, as the option make no difference anyway when exporting.

I've tried it with my phone, that also has the colour issue with videoing, however with picture and still images, the colour is fine and dandy!

I have nothing else opened, as a rule generally, to stop me being distracted, not even things like skype is opened, and there is nothing on my computer that could effect it, it's still relatively new, built it earlier this year.

Already posted a screen shot of exporting settings, although I have tried most of them!

I have no idea where that 3D setting would be so I guess not?

Hope this helps you to help me!

Thank you.
