Hi John, 

Thank you for getting back to me, this was all my mistake on this, i am new to this program and hadn't realized, you need to set each picture (as that's what i'm working with) to fade in.

no, i don't want the same fade on other photos, i just want to select one, and then others if i choose too.

It would be easiest to do that this way...

Load in all your photos (use the Overview Mode to arrange them in preferred sequence) then go to Storyboard Mode.

There is a small drop down arrow between each photo, if you use that you can apply an transition between each. There is even a selection for "random transitions", which will select a random transition for each photo/scene/clip.
