Feature proposal for MEP 2015

Hi.

I have been working with MEP2015 Pro plus for while now and I am prettu satisfied with. One improvement idea would make daily work bit faster:

When switching to another video project, application would change default import directory to same it was last time when edited the project.  Now import directory is the one that is specified on current project.

Hi

. . . . When switching to another video project, application would change default import directory to same it was last time when edited the project.  Now import directory is the one that is specified on current project. . . . .

That is a normal behavour for many Windows based programs.

If, like me, you have your individual projects in their own folders and these are within a 'master folder', then you can set the Project folder path to point to the 'master folder' - mine is set as shown in the image

When you click the link highlighted in the image below to jump direct to the root of the projects folder.

This enable faster switching between folders.

You can also use Windows Explorer to navigate to the other folder and drag video, images and audio, etc direct into the project timeline without affecting the folder MEP has open.

Hi.

Thanks for help. I am aware of techniques you described. Still, somehow it would be useful when you open project "file/last opened disc projects" menu for example, MEP would automatically switch default import folder to current project directory.

Just an idea.

Thanks for comment.

Hi Erkki,

I agree with you that it would be nice to have. However in my case, I would like it if each project remembered the last import folder that was displayed when the project was closed/saved, since I have my source files in more than one location, and not with the project.

It would also be nice if the project folder was with the project settings and not the program settings. A default folder could remain in the program settings and be used only if there was no project folder indicated under the project setting.

Actually, the import location opens where it was the last time MEP was closed, irrespective of the project.

That said, I doubt that Magix will add these improvements.
