Hi

. . . . to set filter track . . . .

More information is needed - what exactly are you wanting to do?

Adobe like layers to set filters just some seconds. Not for whole clip.

Hi

Please read this post and come back with more details.

The term filters has very little meaning when referring to Movie Edit Pro - do you mean effects.

Some effects can be applied and adjusted for a specific timespan, however without knowing specifics makes it difficult for us to help you.

Have you read the installed PDF manual under Help in the program.

I've read the help but it is English and my language is Finnish. I don't understand some sentences.
Yes I mean effects (in MEP language): How can I set f.ex. some lightning corrections just some seconds long? Not for whole clip.
I've not found how to adjust.

Hi

In MEP there are two methods.

  1. If you wish to apply any effect to only a short section of a longer video file you have to create a "clip" containing only the section you wish to effect. In other words you need to first make a cut (shortcut T) at the beginning of the section you wish to apply the effect and another cut at the end. You then have a video object or clip to which you can apply the effect you wish to add.
  2. Or, you can use keyframes to mark the start and end of an effect, one for the start and one for the end. Using this method you don't "cut" the clip but simply use the keyframes to mark the beginning and ending points for the specific effect. This can become quite "messy" if you have quite a long video clip and are applying a number of effects, each starting and ending at different points.
You can, of course, combine both methods (cut and keyframe) if you want to vary the amount of a specific effect, e.g.adding brightness whose level changes over time.

Personally, I find the first method much easier to do, although you can end up with quite a number of separate, possibly short video clips on the timeline and so care must be taken with ripple, movement of some objects etc.

Hope this helps,
Jeff

Thank you. I'll try with keyframes.
