Finally pin pointed my problem. Nvidia cards and dual monitors.

Ever since I got a 1070 GTX Nvidia card I had problems with my Cakewalk and Magix Video Pro X, that I upgraded to early this year. I was going to put my AMD 290X card back in here because I finish my project in Iclone. I had troubles closing VPX, my toolboxes and the white outline icons above would not work, but everything else would work on the screen. I must have deleted the program and reloaded plenty of times. I was able to restart and get the upper tool boxes working so I could, save, load, go to the video authoring page etc. Then after a Windows update this week, I could never get the upper tools boxes to work again. I removed VPX, deleted the folders, deleted the associated registry folders I could find, downloaded VPX and still could not get the upper tool box to work. I send in a request to solve my problem months ago, but I already sent my machine specs, etc. and I wasn't going to do it again. For those who want to know my machine specs.. Asrock X99 Taichi MB, i7 6800 CPU (3.4gHz), 128GB RAM, GTX 1070 (8GB) GPU, Win 10/64 Pro. Also after the Windows update and downloading VPX again, now my video was not working with my timeline, only the audio unless I moved it manually while it was paused. But what I realized finally, that if I clicked on the non-working things on the upper tool box, they were not working but if anything on my desktop was behind them, it would activate that or move my icons around from my desktop. It was like my mouse could not see these upper things. I do have two monitors that I use in the extended mode, in the over and under position. I switched to the Duplicate monitor mode and then my tool box and upper margin boxes started highlighting and working. I then tried messing with every setting in the dual mode, side by side, changing resolution settings using the Nvidia Control panel and or the Windows screen controls. I could not get MVPX to work in any dual mode with this Nvidia card now, I have to use duplicate mode for the two screens now, and yes I have the latest drives and control panels and my video plays with the moving timeline but only in duplicate monitor mode. It worked fine since I first installed WVPX except for the program rebooting to get toolbox to work. I also have no problem closing the program so far (busy) in duplicate mode. I can work with the duplicate dual screen mode, there's no problem as long as I can get MVPX to at least work, and I hope Magix can duplicate the problem now since I narrowed it down. I will email them back now.
