Distortion's a Focusrite problem not a Magix problem. Try experimenting with different drivers, but otherwise look for support on a Focusrite forum.

@Andrea-Amoroso

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

In addition to what @Former user has quite correctly written, I have read a number of recent posts on various audio forums where users were experiencing problems similar to yours. One of the most common factors linking those posts was Focusrite hardware, unfortunately.

Hey Andrea - I also have a 2i2 - AND - I just installed SF12 about 2 months ago - (I STILL have my SF9 & SF8) - But I too had that problem - In the old versions you would just set it to your Focusrite = Or it would automatically see it and use it - HOWEVER in 12 - It's backwards and wrong (Among other things in the SF12)- by trial and error I realized that you have to use WINDOWS CLASSIC WAVE DRIVER - Yes - makes NO sense - but that is the setting under Audio Prefs. AND set ALL of the Records to Line in 2i2's. That fixed it for me.

I will however tell you - if you haven't found this already - it MIGHT NOT keep the settings when you get out of the program or turn your computer off - So if you are having THAT problem - definitely go back and check the settings - NONE OF THE OLDER versions EVER had this problem and I've had SF sine SF6!
