Frustrations with added sound in MEP 2013

Hi Kids...I've been working on a 3D movie starring my Grandkids. I'm rendering the 3D scenes in iClone 5 as MP4 files. My plan was to render all the scenes first, and then put them together using MEP, and add whatever addtional graphics, music and sound effects I needed. I've just begun the assembly process this week and it's been frustrating to say the least. I first started in MEP 2014, but that is so buggy and unwieldy, I gave up on it after the first hour. I was able to load my initial work, which was just the opening, into MEP 2013, and proceed from there. It seems slow and draggy, but at least I wasn't spending all my time trying to figure out where everything was that changed from the previous version or performing work arounds for unfixed bugs. I had a problem with the audio portion of my clips not playing if I seperated them to two tracks individually. I did figure out that if I changed my movie settings to load the audio and video on two tracks, they played again. But my intro is a series of still pictures with an mp3 sound file as backround music, some narrated mp3 clips added to the mix, and some titles. Now the mp3 narration clips won't play but the song will. The narration clips are placed on a different track than anything else. Also, one of my title clips just disappeared. I'm beginning to come to the realization that this project may be more than MEP is up to, but I do want to give it one last shot before I move on to a different editor. I would hate to redo all my work so far in something else, but better that than constanly chasing problems. So can anyone tell me why my mp3 narrated clips won't play all of a sudden. It did work as I expected when I first put it together, and only quit working as I began to add mp4 scenes. I searched the docs, but found no hint of a clue. Any thoughts anyone? Thanks!

Regards...Bruce

Hi Gang...I had no more than returned to MEP after posting when I noticed that several of my MEP screens had shifted to the left. I returned everything back to where it should be when I noticed that two of my tracks had become muted. Of course, the track that contained my narration mp3's was one of them. Unmute, and all works fine. Still don't know what happened to my title clip, but I'll tackle that one next. I don't imagine that's the last problem I'll have, but hope springs eternal!
