Movie Studio v17.

I have been chasing this problem for about 3 months but no nearer a solution.

When I click on the fx button both in the event and the time line the dialogue panel appears, the sliders work (i.e. Brightness Contrast) but no effect appears. This happened quite suddenly - it was working OK before.

I have tried re-installing and trying toggling the split screen button. Neither of these work.
