Glitchy playback and export

Patrick-Gregurke wrote on 4/29/2021, 6:36 PM

Hey,

I'm trying to make short slow motion clips from a 240fps gopro for my business. However, when I scroll through the timeline it jumps between points in the video, and when exported this glitch appears in the final video.

Lowering the frame rate can help via speed effect, but it can't handle normal speed. Putting the footage through Handbrake to lower fps beforehand didn't seem to help either.

I have a new metabox laptop that handles playback and editing great so I'm thinking it could be syncing frame rate rather than lagging.

Could someone please help shed some light on this issue?

Many thanks,

Gurks

@Patrick-Gregurke

Hi Patrick and welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

We need the complete tech specs for the computer please and information on the video file using MediaInfo from the text view of the program. Despite the file claiming to be 240 fps I strongly suspect it is a variable frame rate file rather than a constant frame rate file. That would cause editing problems the way you describe but may not be the cause hence the request for more data please.

Ray.
