Greetings folks, I need to bring MMEP 2013 over to my upgraded computer running Win 7. What allowances are made, and how does one do it please?

Win XP isn't anymore... Got a new computer running Win 7 Ultimate 64, faster 4200dual core AMD cpu than my old laptop. Got to move my editing software to it.

I was wondering how does one install MMEP2013 in this second computer?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi

. . . . how does one install MMEP2013 in this second computer . . . .

Same way as you installed it on the previous computer, then insert your serial number and activate online with same email address as you used for the old computer.  If you have already exceeded your allowed number of activations you may have to cntact Magix and ask thm to reset your activations.

Is this another laptop and are you proposing to do any HD video editing?

Hi there John,

Thanks I" ll do it. The first attempt I was a little put off because the dialogue as it began to downoad said "Magix Mo....Trial "

The new rig is an Asus maxi tower with an AMD 4.2GHz DualCore CPU and a half decent Geforce series 8 GPU. The highest res I will probably use for my YT vids will be max 720p, why do you ask?

Hi

So long as you are not editing from 720p or 1080i/p material everything should be OK.

However for HD video footage I think you will find that the computer preview playback will not be very smooth at all and overall performance may be sluggish at times.

Hi John, I don't have a lot of time to make a detailed response, but leave mit to say that I was having little or no problems using the software with the 1.9GHz CPU in the laptop. though for a while it was handling the H.264 codec just fin, after a while it inexplicably started to playback in the preview screen with sections of black and unuseable. I found  I had to convert files from AVI to MOV format and then create all new source files  (from the camera, I have a choice of either AVI or MOV on the 808#16V2 Keychan camera that we in the aerial photography (quadcopters) have been using for a lightweight and inexpensive alternative to gopro) in the camera settings. It has been working just fgine since then. Now that I have changed up to the new computer, I haven't had enough time to bring new media files to it and upload them to the corresponding hard drive on the Asus. So far, I am happy with the time it takes to boot up though. I would ask you why it is such a runaround to download the bonus packs from Catooh. I seem to get into this crazy loop of having to sign in and re-register and I am losing my patience. Any suggestions? I did like some of the video sequences that I was using underneath titles and such.
