MSP8 - My guess is that is Media Studio Pro 8 that was previously a Ulead NLE which back then was considered perhaps a "Prosumer" product.

I played with MSP7 at one time so I would say that the current version of Movie Edit Pro Plus would be a suitable replacement, or Video Pro X.

There would be very little in MSP that is not in either of the Magix products and they would be much nicer to use. They are both available as a 30 Day trial (with some limitations) where you could get a good feel for them.
