From the computer specification you posted the Movie Edit Pro (MEP) is not able to use of 'Hardware acceleration' (HWA) ie the graphics card to take load off the processor by using its capabilities to decode/encode video.

The effect of this is that when you come to previewing the video in the program, the playback may be jerky and when exporting your project to MP4 or AVCHD, the export will take a lot longer than if HWA was available.

Unfortunately the laptop does not meet the minimum specification for using HWA in that it needs an Intel processor with an integrated GPU - there is a long topic on this here.
